Eastwood - our award winning restaurant concept - and SkyLounge are turning out to be great destination hotspots in the city.

The first floor accommodates a spectacular gallery space which can accommodate extensive meeting facilities - with 15 meeting rooms and a further 4 meeting rooms on the top floor.

In addition, as part of our fantastic SkyLounge concept on the top floor there is a spectacular roof garden and barbeque terrace combined with some of the most exclusive meeting and private dining space with a south facing terrace, supported by a destination lounge bar with spectacular views of Amsterdam and the River IJ. The hotel has recently been rebranded from Mint Hotel Amsterdam, to a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel.

The hotel has 557 stylish guest rooms including 48 fantastic suites and 3 resident roof gardens. City Café, Eastwood, Lobby Bar, Executive Lounge and our very own Starbucks are great destination hotspots in the city. The first floor accommodates extensive meetings and events possibilities with 15 flexible meeting rooms.
The SkyLounge Amsterdam, with rooftop terrace, on the highest floor of the hotel, is a stylish meeting place with baristas, cocktail experts and a DJ daily. From the top floor, guests can enjoy an amazing 360-degree view of the historic town, Amsterdam.






Job Requirements

As an ASSISTANT MEETINGS AND EVENTS MANAGER you will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive a fantastic experience, from arrival to departure, and every step in between. You will deliver a fantastic, knowledgeable service experience, be it for a business meeting, conference, training or private dining event.  High standards and a pride in your personal appearance and presentation are essential and delivering exceptional service will be the defining factors. 

You will be an exceptional team player and have a natural ability to train and develop.You will be responsible for the meeting and events floor as well as meetings or gatherings with other starting or end points on the hotel premises. You will work closely with the SkyLounge and Events Manager in the responsibility for attaining and exceeding budget targets by efficient cost control and maximization of revenue. You will strive to develop the success of the Meeting product by being inventive and creative. A keen interest in quality food and wines would be beneficial as would a related qualification; although these are not pre-requisites. Candidates must be fluent in English and Dutch. You will lead the full Meetings and Events operation and be involved in F&B administration. Your tasks include staff training, rostering, planning of casual staff co-ordination with the client, kitchen, sales department, AV equipment and stock control.
