You are going to work for PostNL. With their orange mailboxes, orange delivery vans and orange cargo bikes they don’t go by unnoticed! PostNL delivers throughout everywhere in the Netherlands and is responsible for a timely delivery of an impressive 99,8% of their mail!
Working hours
As a mail sorter you have the options to work between nine and thirty hours per week. Big chance there are working hours that fits your schedule! The shifts are:

  • Morning shift: 5.00 hrs - 12.00 hrs
  • Day shift: 15.00 hrs - 20.00 hrs
  • Evening shift: 19.30 hrs - 0.00 hrs
  • Night shift: 0.00 hrs - 7.00 hrs 

It is possible to work on Saturday and Sunday from week 49 till 52. If you are working during the weekend in week 50 or 51, you get paid an extra 40% on Saturday and 100% on Sunday!

Employment agency Manpower is looking for several logistics workers otherwise known as #decemberhelden for PostNL in Zwolle.
What will you be doing as a #decemberheld?
As a logistics worker you will be working as a mail sorter. Between big sorting machines you will be coordinating the mail, so that the mail carriers can work with the correct cargo. The tasks you will be performing are:

  • Carrying big containers filled with mail
  • Checking the machine flow by keeping it free of big boxes
  • Loading and unloading of the sorting machine
  • Placing the mail on assembly line (a flat-belt conveyor)
  • Entering zip code data in different systems and placing stickers on the mail

Job requirements 
As a mail sorter you are:

  • At least sixteen years old and eighteen years if you want to work night shifts
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy bags
  • Good command of the English and/or Dutch language to maintain a safe work environment
  • Own means of transportation (for instance a bike, car or scooter) because the sorting centrum in Zwolle is difficult to reach if you travel by public transport
  • Available for at least three shifts a week

Preferably you live in the Zwolle area, Kampen, Deventer, Apeldoorn, Meppel of Hasselt.
